Roy Tucker BSc(Hons)

2009 Prize Recipient

Roy Tucker was awarded the 2009 Revell Research Systems prize as the top final year student from the BSc(Hons) Computing group of related programmes. He graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Computing and Software Development.

Roy Tucker is originally from Devon and worked in accountancy prior to enrolling at the University of Plymouth on the BSc(Hons) Computing and Software Development course.

Mr Tucker said of being awarded the prize: "Winning the Revell Research Systems prize was one of the highlights of my university degree. While it's true that by the third year of a degree, you have an idea where your grade will be, you also know that you're working with some of the brightest students around. To be told you're the 'best all-round student' in the group is an honour when you know the quality of student against which you are being measured."
