Internships

We are considering offering one or more part-time internships to students on track for at least a 2:1 in information technology related degrees over the next couple of years.

An internship would offer you an opportunity to do real paid work with a consulting practice rather than just work experience observing others doing the work. In essence, you gain valuable experience and some training instead of just doing a typical student job such as bar work.

We are designing our internships to be flexible. We would engage you on an hourly rate so that you could fit your work with us around your academic requirements during term-time as well as during vacations.

The sort of work you would undertake would be varied and potentially tailored to your individual skills. The most likely areas of work would be as a support technician or as a junior software developer or web designer.

We would expect an intern to work from home, like the majority of our staff. You would also need to visit client sites from time to time.

We may also be able to broker work as part of a student's academic project with some of our charitable clients. We would not offer a salary in this instance, but would represent our clients in specifying and signing off the project. The advantage to the student is that we know what is reasonable to ask for in such projects and would not ask for things that could not be reasonably done!
