Sara Sheridan was the inaugural recipient of the Revell Research Systems Prize in 2006, receiving the award as the top final-year student on the FdSc Internet Technology in Business conferred by the University of Plymouth. Established to celebrate the consultancy's twenty-first anniversary, the prize recognised Sara's exceptional academic achievement, determination and successful transition into a professional computing career.

The 2007 Revell Research Systems Prize was awarded to Darren Rees in recognition of his achievement as the top final-year student on the BSc (Hons) Computing programme at the University of Plymouth. Presented by Alastair Revell, the award celebrated academic excellence and highlighted Darren's exceptional potential as he began his professional computing career.

The University of Plymouth's award of an Honorary Doctor of Science degree to Alastair Revell recognises more than forty years of leadership within technology, computing and professional standards. The honour acknowledges his outstanding contribution to Computer Science Education and the IT profession, alongside his enduring commitment to professionalism, ethics and excellence.

To mark the twenty-first award of the Revell Research Systems Prize, the Company has launched a substantially revised website celebrating the history of the award and its recipients. Established in 2006 to mark the Company's twenty-first anniversary, the prize has now recognised twenty-one outstanding Computing graduates from the University of Plymouth.
