About Us
Revell Research Systems established the Revell Research Systems Prize in
partnership with the University of Plymouth to recognise academic excellence and celebrate
student achievement. The Prize reflects the Consultancy's long-standing commitment to professionalism,
lifelong learning and the development of future technology professionals, values that have
guided the firm since its foundation in 1985.
Revell Research Systems is a Management and Technology Consulting Practice based in Exeter
in the South West of the United Kingdom that was established by Alastair Revell in 1985.
We are a firm of Chartered IT Professionals and Chartered Engineers
that works to the highest professional standards in the execution of our assignments, with
all client work supervised by a suitable chartered professional.
We specialise in IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Management, Networking and Software Engineering.
We offer a variety of services within these disciplines, ranging from consulting and training
through support to implementation.
We combine these disciplines and services into a series of standard solutions that clients
typically require, which cover Consultancy and Advice, Service Management, Training and Learning,
and Software Development. If these standard solutions do not meet our client's exact requirements,
we can blend our disciplines and services to meet their unique circumstances.
We focus the delivery of our Service Management solutions on the South West of England, but
we deliver our remaining solutions throughout the United Kingdom and further afield in Western
Europe.
We have a long track record stretching back to 1985 in delivering these solutions to our clients.
We seek long-term mutually beneficial relationships that often last for decades.
We are very different to the majority of companies that work in IT. We don't sell anything
but our expertise, so we don't maintain any alliances with vendors to sell their
products. We value academic and professional qualifications over those offered by manufacturers
that often form part of their discount structures.
This commitment to academic and professional achievement is reflected in our support for the
Revell Research Systems Prize at the University of Plymouth. Through the Prize, we seek to
recognise outstanding academic performance and encourage the ambition, professionalism and
dedication that underpin successful careers in technology, engineering and related disciplines.
