Ben Lancaster BSc (Hons)

Ben Lancaster was the thirteenth person to be awarded the prize.

Ben Lancaster was awarded the 2018 Revell Research Systems Prize as the top final year BSc (Hons) undergraduate student within the cognate area of Computing.

Following his undergraduate studies, he continued his academic development at the University of Leeds, completing a Master's degree in Embedded Systems between 2018 and 2019.

Alongside his university studies, Ben gained industry experience as an FPGA Firmware Engineer at Spirent Communications from 2015 to 2016, working within the company's satellite positioning group on FPGA-based signal generation technologies.

After completing his Master's degree, he joined Arm in September 2019 as an Interconnect RTL Design Engineer. He held this role until April 2022, contributing to the development of system-level cache and memory controller technologies.

In April 2022, Ben was promoted to Senior Design Engineer at Arm. He continues to work within Arm's processor design organisation, contributing to the development of Cortex-A and other Arm CPU products.
