Shem Skillman BSc (Hons)

Shem Skillman was the seventeenth person to be awarded the prize.

Shem Skillman was awarded the 2022 Revell Research Systems Prize as the top final year BSc (Hons) undergraduate student within the cognate area of Computing.

Shem studied Computing and Games Development at the University of Plymouth between 2018 and 2022, graduating with First Class Honours. During his degree, he completed an industrial placement year with Silhouette Research & Technology, working as a Junior Software Developer from September 2020 to August 2021.

Following his placement year, he continued with Silhouette Research & Technology as a part-time Junior Software Developer during his final year at university. After graduating in 2022, he joined the company full-time as a Software Developer, a role he held until April 2026.

In May 2026, he joined Avolites as a C# Developer.
