Elliot Blackburn BSc (Hons)

Elliot Blackburn was the twelfth person to be awarded the prize.

Elliot Blackburn was awarded the 2017 Revell Research Systems Prize as the top final year BSc (Hons) undergraduate student within the cognate area of Computing.

During his studies, he worked as a Software Engineer at Sparkol from June 2014 to May 2016, gaining commercial experience alongside his university education.

Following graduation, he joined Gradient Limited as a Full Stack Engineer in June 2017, remaining with the company until November 2018. During 2018, he also worked as a Contract Software Engineer at Ripjar.

In November 2018, he joined Just Eat Takeaway as a Senior Software Engineer. He was promoted to Technology/Engineering Manager in November 2020 and remained with the organisation until December 2021. He subsequently joined DICE as an Engineering Manager, serving in that role until June 2024.

In June 2024, Elliot became a Founding Engineer at Sunbeam before moving to YunoJuno as Head of Engineering in March 2026, a position he currently holds.
