Martin Peniak BSc (Hons)

Martin Peniak was the third person to be awarded the prize.

Martin Peniak was awarded the 2008 Revell Research Systems Prize as the top final year student on the BSc (Hons) Computing programme. Martin Peniak is originally from Slovakia. He came to the United Kingdom in June 2004, shortly after Slovakia joined the European Union, to study English. He subsequently enrolled as a student on the BSc (Hons) Computing programme at the University of Plymouth.

After graduating, Martin successfully studied for his PhD at the University researching GPU computing for cognitive robotics under Professor Angelo Cangelosi, while also working with NVIDIA.

He joined Cortexica Vision Systems in 2014, becoming Head of Innovation, before moving to Spain as a Senior Innovation Engineer at Oostoo in 2019.

He has recently become Senior Innovation Engineer at Metropolis Technologies.
